Each letter in a word is arranged alphabetically in a dictionary’s list of words. The alphabet is listed in the following order: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. The I section of the dictionary, for instance, would be your first stop if you were looking for the word intelligence because it begins with the letter ‘i’. Find the page that contains the necessary letter.
You must then search for the second letter in the word, which in the instance of the word intelligence is the letter ‘n’, once you have located the letter ‘i’. Each word’s second letter, like all other letters in the word, will be in alphabetical order. You must thus search for the area of the I section that contains words that start with the letter ‘in’. To achieve this, you may see the letters of the first word on each page by looking at it. After that, repeat the process for each letter in the word until you locate the one you’re looking for.
